Configuration of the scanning module

The configuration of the computer used for scanning enables documents to be sent from the scanning module to the Omnimed EMR. A configuration must be made for each workstation used for scanning.

⚠️ Important notes

  • Contact your technical support to configure the scanning module. Installation can also be carried out by Omnimed by appointment in accordance with our billable services policy.
  • Each user must access the Scan Module with his or her own login and password used to access the Omnimed web application.
  • For performance purposes, documents added to the Scanning Module are hosted locally on the user's computer and do not transit through Omnimed servers. The scanning process must therefore be completed from start to finish by the same user, on the same computer.

Steps to follow

0. Validate requirements

  • For information on the hardware required for scanning with Omnimed, please refer to the sections Computer used for scanning and filing and Internet link in the article System requirements for using Omnimed.
